Dear Harper,

I cannot fathom that it has been SIX years since we first saw your little face. You made us a family and we are so thankful God picked you out of his baby garden just for us! You are a beautiful, smart, sweet, funny, sassy, stubborn, determined girl and a wonderful, caring, mini mommy to your brother and sister. I am so proud of the girl you have grown into and feel lucky to be able to call myself your mom.

You started kindergarten this year and have loved being able to make new friends. You come home and tell me all kinds of stories about playing on the playground and being silly with your new school buddies, especially Garrett, Natalie and Samantha. Math is your favorite subject and you are very good at it. You can add, subtract, count money, start to tell time, know all your shapes and will count until someone stops you. You want to be a teacher when you grow up and I know you will be a wonderful one.

This past year, you have gone through so many changes from welcoming a baby brother into our family, to leaving behind the only place you knew as home, having to say goodbye to all your best friends, going to live in a place where you knew no one, moving twice in 5 months, and starting school. Watching you handle all these huge changes in such a short time made me realize how resilient you are. Sure you talked about missing your friends, family, church, preschool, old house but never once did you complain or get mad at Mommy and Daddy for putting you through all that. Infact, all this change has strengthened our family and taught us to put our trust in God.

You are wise beyond your years and I have learned more in the six short years you have been in my life than in the twenty five years I was here before you! I love you to the moon and back my sweet Harper girl and will forever!!!
