A
favorite snack around our house is popcorn. It's a relatively healthy,
easy snack option. But did you know you can make your own microwavable
popcorn? All you need is popcorn kernels, a brown paper lunch bag,
salt and butter (optional). Pour 1/4 of a cup of kernels into a brown
paper lunch bag, fold the bag down a few times and stick it in the
microwave. I tried adding more than 1/4 cup of kernels once and quickly
realized the bag wasn't big enough to hold all the popcorn once it
started popping. I had popcorn all over my microwave...so I recommend
1/4 cup! Push the popcorn button on your microwave and in a couple of
minutes you have your own microwave popcorn. Since microwaves differ in
power, listen and once your hear 5+ second pauses in between pops your
popcorn is probably done.
We
like to add some melted butter and Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt to ours
for some flavor but you can fix yours to suit your taste buds. Enjoy!
