Friday Favorite...

I love putting a little love in my daughter's lunch box to let her know I'm thinking about her during the day. I came across a website called Say Please that has the most adorable little notes.  On the front there is a short note and on the back there is a fun little fact for you child to learn and share with their buddies over lunch. Even though my daughter is only in kindergarten and learning how to read, I put them in there and challenge her to sound out the words she doesn't know.  And even if your child doesn't pack a lunch, you can stick the note in a backpack or binder.

I ordered a set, which came with 8 volumes and 12 cards in each volume.

Here is an example of one I recently put in my daughter's lunchbox:

Do your Black Friday shopping online and check out Say Please today and you can get 60% your order. You can also find them on Facebook at Lunchbox Love.
**If you go to the site and click Lunchbox Love Printables and fill out the name and email form, they will send you a 10% off coupon just for checking out the site :)

They even have Lunch Box Love for Birthday Girls & Boys, Camp, Everyone in Your Life, Those you Appreciate, your Girlfriends, Those you Work With, Loved Ones, Holiday Love, ...literally something for everyone!

How do you show your kids a little love?

Friday Favorites

Today's favorite is a candy...I figured with Halloween just a couple of days ago everyone has candy on the brain.  But this is a different kind of candy! I first heard about this from one of my most favorite blogs 100 Days of Real Food.  I was off to CVS  the next day to get me some! :)  I grabbed all the kinds they had:

UNREAL5-chocolate, caramel and nougat bar  (like a Milky Way)
UNREAL77-Peanut butter cups  (like Reese's Cups)
UNREAL8-chocolate, caramel, peanuts and nouget (like a Snickers)
UNREAL41-candy coated chocolate.  (like M&M's)
UNREAL54-candy coated chocolates with peanuts (Peanut M&Ms) I didn't see this one at the store so I haven't gotten to try it yet.

*Not sure of prices at other stores but at CVS they were $1 apiece (if you bought 2 or more otherwise they were $1.19 each) Not bad!

This candy is called Unjunked for a reason...
  • NO corn syrup
  • NO partially hydrogenated oils
  • NO artificial ingredients
  • NO GMO's
  • NO preservatives
  • And it has a low glycemic index
So all that sounds great, but how does it taste you ask??? I put some of the toughest critics I know to do the test...my kids and husband (and myself too) and we tried all four of the UNREAL candies I brought home.

It was yummy! My girls loved the UNREAL41 so much they asked if they could have some more after dinner.  And my husband, who is not a chocolate lover like myself, really liked it.

My family is convinced and hooked.  Since we all need that little chocolate fix every so often and keeping all things sweet away from my kids will never happen, at least I know there is a go to candy out there that doesn't have all that junk in it.

I love the colors of the candy coated chocolates!  The serving size on these is 50 pieces and our package came with 52, so you can basically have the whole thing! Don't you hate when you get something and their are 2 or even more servings in a package?  How can you open up candy and only eat a few pieces or bites!?!
Check out the really awesome Get Unreal website today to learn more and find out where you can get yourself some of this good stuff!

***UPDATE: Yesterday, I found a local dentist office that was having a Halloween Candy Buy Back and they were sending the candy they collected overseas to our troops. I told the girls that if they took their candy  we would go and get some UNREAL candy for them to eat instead. They put their candy in a bag and off we went.  They ended up selling back 4 lbs of Halloween candy and got $8 to split.  We headed to CVS and they chose to get the chocolate coated candy (like M&Ms).  I saw the peanut kind and got to try those...they were yum! Now you know this UNREAL stuff is good if I can easily convice a 4 and 6 year old to give up their Halloween candy and buy them it instead!

Friday Favorites...

I have decided to start posting some of my favorite things on Fridays.  I have no guide lines, it's just going to be something I have tried and loved enough to share. It could be a recipe, kids product, baby item, craft, cleaning product...like I said anything I have tried and fallen in love with! This week it's Shaklee's ScourOff. My only regret is I didn't try this stuff sooner! Instead of me going on and on about how much I love it (because I totally could) I'll let the pictures do the talking.

When we moved into this rental house, the sink was one thing I could not get clean...no matter what I tried.  And it was embarrassing because it looked like I had never even tried to clean it.  All I had to do was get a sponge, put some ScourOff on it, rub it in all over the sink, and wash it off with warm water. Took me like 2 minutes to get these amazing results...

After seeing how easy it was to clean with this stuff, I had to go tackle the shower. I can not believe I'm going to post these pictures...don't judge! I HATE how gross the shower looks.  I seriously clean it more than anything else in the whole house, yet it looks the nastiest.

The picture doesn't do it justice! Let's just say, I know longer dread opening up my shower curtain :)

Oh and got a bonus for you...this stuff smells yummy enough to eat.  Now don't go eating it but seriously what other tough jobs cleaning product smells good?!  I only wish computers had smell-o-vision so you could smell it for yourself :)  It's a paste so it doesn't form dust clouds like Ajax or Comet and its made from natural ingredients so it won't burn off your nose hairs while your cleaning!  It can be used on sinks, tile, grout, ovens, ovenproof glass, stovetops, ceramic tiles, porcelain sinks and baked enamel!!

If you are interested in this Shaklee product or any of the other amazing Get Clean items, check them out here I promise you will love them!
